Idk much about these amps but hear they are a very good quality amplifier. My question is, will this amp be enough for one jl 10w7? It is 600x1 @ 1 ohm. At 1 ohm, would that work for my sub?
Well the JL W7 is 750W rms and 1500W peak. I would say if your getting a consistant 600W rms at 1 ohm with that amp thats pretty close to the rms of the sub and should drive it just fine, as long as your sure that amp is stable at 1 ohm for everyday use.
Correct me if im wrong, but my w7 is a single 3 ohm voice coil. That being said will the amp be able to run at 1 ohm?
Yes it is, so running the amp at 3 ohms would not get much power to the sub. If you ran 2 that would be 1.5 ohms and would be alot better.
If that amp puts out 600W rms at 1 ohm running it at 3 ohms, just a guess but you will probably only put 250 watts to the sub. I dont think that will be enough.
W7's were not designed for sound quality, they were designed for SPL. I never have liked there sound quality but they make alot of noise.
For sound quality I prefered the JLW3's. I ran 3 dual 6 ohm 12's in parallel for a 1 ohm load on a Hifonics Brutus BX1500D and I was very impressed.

No disrespect to seankane(who i do have much respect for and spent some time debating about typing this) but:
Just for information purposes. The JL W7 is a high performance sound quality woofer. I have installed many different systems using the W7's and they all sounded fantastic. We once built 2 enclosures for an installer that i worked with. One for SPL and and one for music and they both sounded amazing. We used a Memphis mcd1000 and 3 jl8w7.
The W7 is also used in JL Audio's line of high end home audio subwoofers that i can say from experience are very musical. I have listened to all of these and they are all about sound quality and they aren't as loud as you would expect but sound great.
Just don't want ya to feel bad about your w7. They are great especially if you don't have a lot of room to do multiple subs, that is where you really benefit from having the w7.
This amp should push your w7 well.
Will it handle more? of course
Could your amp push more to a different subwoofer? yes
How long will this setup last if installed properly? since your amp and sub would be operating in the middle of there maximum capabilities probably a very long time.
In my opinion(just to add my opinion has never changed the world or anything else for that matter. My opinions are always free if you don't like it feel free to return it for a full refund.) the w7 is a better SQ woofer than SPL.

Absolutely agree with mr jordan.
Anyway if you consider improperly spl as a lowbass tuned system ,well, w7 is gonna be able to reach high spl @ low frequency too but always with quality.

Well I guess I am out numbered here. I have honestly never heard a W6 or W7 that I thought sounded "good", the best sounding JL subs I have ever heard to this day were the W312D6.
I dont run JL subs and only have once in my life but I did like them. I have always ran Rockford Fosgate subs and always will. I love them, they beat and take a beating.
I think JL makes a quality sub and I am sure they are just fine, just not my preference.

True. People's liking could be different.
Back in topic, i would use something different, like rf Power 800.2...
