I have a customers MX700.5 Kicker amplifier in my shop. It will only play at very low volumes. I have enough technical experience to inspect the board, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it apart. I've removed the 12 screws on the end caps, but the won't budge. I can see a seam in the silver face, but I can't get it to budge either.

After removing the large screws and all screws in the RCA jacks, terminal blocks and fuse holders, the end caps pull off easily on the non-marine amps. The top cover is pressed into the red rubber strips but lifts off (sometimes there is one screw holding it).

I have all of the screws out. The cap on the power/ground side has some play, but seems to be stuck on the terminals even with the screws out. I think I'm at the point that if I pry any harder, I'm going to break something.

This amp is tricky to pull apart and the seal may be compromised.You will have to remove the sticky back label of the end panel to get to the screws underneath.You will not be able to reapply the label. PM me and I may be able to offer other suggestions.
It wouldn't let me send a private message. I'm not sure what you mean regarding screws underneath. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The screenprint with a sticky back attached to the end panels with all the labels for RCA's,power and speaker terminals,model number etc, hides more screws. You will have to peel them off to access.
Is it possible to heat the decal to allow it to lift without damage?

Perry Babins suggestion is worth a try. I've never seen this done, we replace the decals before they are returned to customers.
If you can slide the amp out of one end, only remove the decal on the power supply end. That will leave the one on the other end perfectly intact. When you peel them off then reapply them, they don't go back on perfectly smooth because the adhesive doesn't lay flat.
