Kicker 06 ZX750.1

You only need the most basic computer. If you ask around, you can likely find someone with an old dell taking up space in a closet or attic that they will be glad to give you. An old 4:3 resolution monitor will work perfectly fine.

Graphics cards (unless you only want the most basic) are hard to find at a decent price.

Email me if you have any more on computer requirements or suggestions.

For the repair, for others, please list all components that were required to get the amp working.

Ya I refuse to pay the inflated price of GPUs, but they are finally starting to come back down to reality somewhat ...lol. Surviving off my tablet is getting old 🥴

As far as the repair the Power Supply FETs literally exploded, along with various other components across entire board, I replaced the following with the following.

Q06, Q07, Q08, Q09, Q12, Q13, Q14, Q15 with IRF3205.

Q05&Q11 with MMBTA56.

Q103 with NXP3875GR

R152 with size1206 “104” 100k Ω

R210 with size1206 “100” 10 Ω

R260 with size0805 “100” 10 Ω

U14 with LM361n (which also might have been damaged from a slip while probing on a voltage regulator)

Also rewrapped each inductor (which might have been the cause of the failure and why damage was so widespread throughout the board in each section) I have listed specs and procedure for rewrapping in 1st post.

I also had a few spots on the board that were slightly carbonized causing shorts between pins, and very “scratchy” potentiometers on the daughter board.

Amp is running damn nice now, just need to bench at full power 🙂
