Does anyone know of a source for an electronic volume control chip? It has a chip number of KIC9482F. It is in a Motorola DCP-501, IC619 on the main board, near the edge closest to the audio amp board, about midway front to rear. I have tried every cross reference I can find, but no one seems to recognize it. The closest I found is a Toshiba TC9482F. The pinout seems to match, but I don't find any US distributors for that chip either.
I have confirmed with a scope that audio enters the chip, but never comes out. Pulses are entering the chip on the data pin corresponding to activity on the volume knob.
