Kenwood and Pioneer sound decay on L channel

Kenwood and Pioneer sound decay on L channel:

I have a Kenwood DP-2010 and a Pioneer PD-7700 and both of them developed a strange problem dough amplified on 2 separate amplifiers!
Theyr sound is close to absent on the left channel and the right channel sounds fine! What could be the problem? Thank you!

Because such a coincidence is unlikely, I'd look elsewhere for the problem.
Speaker wires shorting, bad source component, bad cable, etc.
