Kaamos tech

Looks like mediocre stuff based on a quick look. Some of what I saw I would not recommend to do. OTOH, the prices are low. That said, when its all done, including the stuff you have to add, its probably not all that better than a low-ish cost Topping or SMSL. It might even end up being worse than a low-cost Topping depending on the quality of what you put into it. So, if its just for fun to mess around with then it might be okay. However if its to build a serious system then IMHO its probably not the best way to go.

Oh, great SINAD?

I saw an AK4493 dac board that said it needed external Vref. We all know AK4493 can measure well, but figures of merit aren't the whole story.

As far as what I do, you have no idea because I don't post details here due to NDA constraints.

I would also note that you do not post schematics, gerbers, or projects, mostly only FFT measurements. We have no idea how your stuff sounds, not even one independent subjective review.

kaamostech.com is the successor to nihtila.com (Tomi Nihtilä),
after previously only selling on Tindie.com ( tindie.com/stores/nihtila ),
he has now founded his own 1-man company (part-time) in the UK -> Kaamos Tech Ltd
( youtu.be/N4BMKEn4Mo4 )

I can only say good things about him and his products:
I have bought the following products from him and use them on a daily basis:
  • “W-DAC 4493” (with AK4493EQ DAC, LM4562 opamps, LT3042 LDO)
  • all the baseboards in- and output boards for the "WEE-DAC System" ( nihtila.com/category/projects/wee-dac/ )
  • “ADC AK5572 v1.2” ( nihtila.com/wp-content/files/ADC_AK5572_factsheet_v120.pdf )
  • HP-BuF and HP-Mobo headphone Amp-System ( nihtila.com/category/projects/modular-hp-amp/ )
the mentioned ADC in particular is outstanding, I've never heard a better one (and I've already tested countless others over the last decades, including professional studio equipment)

I would also note that you do not post schematics
this is not true, as anyone can easily see on nihtila.com
