I acquired these for parts but thet are weird. At the front is a 4" woofer with a tweeter and a port. To the rear is another 4" woofer & another port. The tuning frequency of the ports differ.
Can anybody follow JVC's thinking?

That doesn't really answer my question. They were thinking about overcoming the baffle step issue by adding a woofer on the back
Flared port at the front, smaller, striaght port at the rear?
See how the woofers are wired. And when eyeing into the enclosure, see if there's a divisory inside
The two ports would combine to a single tuning if the woofers share the same chamber.Flared port at the front, smaller, striaght port at the rear?
Cuffing won't be heard much from the rear port, so being straight saves a few cents in cost.
The three ohm load would indicate the woofers are probably in parallel.
I honestly don't see the point in this design. I've had several similar sized cabinets with a ingle 5" woofer that have offered better performance. I seriously don't see the point.
