Hello. I'm restoring a vintage JVC RC M60 boombox that I bought at a garage sale.
I have replaced the sliding bass and treble potentiometers and the two volume potentiometers R and L.
I have disassembled and painted the cabinet with original color and replaced the cassette mechanism belt.
The problem I have is that the recording/playback head is not the original SA from JVC. It's a generic one.
Then I see that the sound reproduced from the cassette is low and blurry, with almost no treble.
I think the culprit is that head. It has 260 ohms.
Does anyone know what impedance or resistance the original JVC SA (Sen Aloy) head has?
Any replacement?
Thank you.

Hi 👋 could you advise where you were able to source parts from for your JVC RC M60 boombox? I’m looking to restore mine too. Thanks
Hi Euri1972. I bought the bass, treble, and volume potentiometers on Aliexpress.
The cassette mechanism belt was sold at a local store.
But I've seen it on eBay.
