Hello!
Last week this laser died after slowly hardly getting to read any more cd-s!
How can I give it more power? I have a multi meter that has a 20k Ohm scale as well! Pics atached!
Signs that it shows when cd's inserted: one spin 00:00:00 on display numbers read!
Stereo system model: XR-UXD99RGD
Thank you!

Ok! Got the SM and put every thing back togheder! Sadly the laser has to be replaced!
Thanx every one! Problem solved! Thread closed!

Any measurements with the meter, values and spots to apply probes for measurements so that I know that I have hit the right value? I have had the laser disassembled out of it's assemblage and cleaned the prism, under lens, surface lens and all that i could reach on the inside!

Ok did the clockwise spin! It reads CD's plays CD's but it puts a friction sound through the speakers when playing the disk like the lens would friction the disc! is it too much of a spin or too little?

seems too much... maybe... I have no idea how much you increased the laser output already. Try decreasing the laser output a little and see if there's any difference.
It could be that you did something else while disassembling -> reassembling the mechanism that maybe causes the hissing....?
Ok! Discovered that left running side on the cassette deck evolved some problems as well, as stone pinch roller no reverse wind for the tape! It has done it's job I'll say so it will go away on sale!
