2x200 W into 8 ohms. Wonder how hot it gets when delivering that kind of power. And I wonder how the output devices will survive given the thermal resistance of whatever goop they used to attach the output devices to the pot.
$40k!! Insane. $400... Sure. If I was in the market for a cast iron pot with an amp in it...
Not quite as silly as the MacBook Pro I saw on eBay earlier today. "Near perfect condition". You just had to accept a cracked screen and nine missing keys on the keyboard. But apparently, it worked great with an external monitor and keyboard...
A fool and his money...

Cooling shouldn't be a problem. The outputs aren't hooked up and the filter caps are setting with the pins up, not wired either.
Hmmmm........... I wonder what SWMBO would do if I made a couple of mono-block amps out of her cast iron skillets?
OTOH - if I could sell 'em for say $10k each she might go fur it!!!!

As Steve said - heck - this thing isn't even hooked up - gotta be a joke!
Hmmm..... Tube Audio Design does have a web site and BTW the $40k seems to be for the used unit. The new price is $100k

Wife says: "Where in the H-E-double hockey sticks is that stew pot?"
hahahahaha She will never know!
I actually have 2 half-moon shaped pots of similar casting i got with the idea that they might make a unique chassis for a set of monobloks (tube)

You need this amp to connect with your industrial heritage. Iron cooking pots were Abraham Darby's must have product from Ironbridge, birthplace of the industrial revolution Ironbridge Gorge Tourist Board | Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and the Ironbridge Gorge Museums, Accommodation, Attractions & Events. Not sure what you would play through it, turntables were not even a gleam in Berliner's eye. Berliner wasn't even a gleam in his Dad's eye.
Audiogon Hum????
Are these the wackos that try to sell those $500+ interconnects & the $2000 speaker wires & et. al.?
They really are brave/stupid.

lol. There you can sell a speaker spike for $500 and just say it is made of lunar material....and there are a lot people that buy these crazy priced staff.🙄
Perfect for "Cookin' with Miles" methinks.
Only suitable to play heavy metal rock music - not a really good amp for the soft stuff!! 😛
On the plus side, I expect it would make a serious mess of anyone that tried to break into it's owner's house/shed etc......
