i have 2 home amplifiers

1 is a ONKYO TX-2000 - old amp with stk456 and 250W supply
and 35V +/- inside

2 is a TENSAI TA-2045 - old amp to with 250W supply to and 45V +/- inside

both work very good in high quality of sound..... but how is can that the onkyo is stronger???

Hi DJ, long time no see? 🙂

You should try to measure both amps output with the same input signal (1Khz for example), same load, before clipping.
Measure the output voltage and current and let us know what you found. You will need a scope to see when it's clipping.

25W can be louder than 75W...

It depends on gain-setting, and input sensitivity.
And of-course, power-supply.

Another thing: when equal VA trafos, but different voltage, the one with lowest voltage can deliver more Amperes...
