Just found these... any use in Tripath amps?

I just found a pair of these.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

5cm x 2.5cm nice looking old school caps.

I'm all new to this amp building business and have just finished a Helder TA2020 MKIII.

Just wondering if these caps could have any application in similar projects?

You need fast capacitors for class d amps. Like panasonic fc or sanyo oscon etc... because class d chips need energy & they drain the caps reserved energy fast.
If what you found is for free, i would use them for circuits with voltage regulators & small power supplies.

Hi,

A modern electrolytic 330uF 35V capacitor is ~ 10mm dia, ~ 20mm long.
They are so cheap its not worth using very large old electrolytics.

A modern 3300uF 63V capacitor is about than size.

Really not much use to anyone, except a vintage restorer.
