Did you get the $#1+ shocked out of you when you touch the end of the USB cable? Or were you chicken enough not to try it?I once bought a phone charger that was by Samsnug.
These are so bad they’re good again.I have seen SQNY, Panashiba, Nikom, Pionner, Cannon (for cameras), and 1000 more.
Oh well.
Would be a funny collection…

No. It worked perfectly fine. It was a good month before I even noticed it wasn't real.Did you get the $#1+ shocked out of you when you touch the end of the USB cable? Or were you chicken enough not to try it?

A lot of those cheap chargers “work” perfectly fine but are not isolated from the power line - that’s what I was getting at….No. It worked perfectly fine. It was a good month before I even noticed it wasn't real.
Just like long-time and (once respected/respectable) brand names....
Zenith - "The Quality goes in, before the Name goes on"
RCA Victor - "The most Trusted Name in Electronics"
Westinghouse" "You can be SURE, if it's Westinghouse"
Etc Etc...
People chose brands like that because of "brand recognition", reputation.
Now all those names are farmed out to china slop.

Never seen that with a charger. I have seen cheap LED bulbs where the heat sink was connected to one side of the line though 🙂A lot of those cheap chargers “work” perfectly fine but are not isolated from the power line - that’s what I was getting at….
