Sorry for the late reply, work always gets in the way...
Glad that you like the circuit.
Using LM317 as CCS is as simple as it gets,
1. The Vin is connected to the higher potential end, and
2. The current setting resistor is connected between the Vout and the Adj pins.
3. The Adj is conncted to the lower potential end.
The value of current setting resistor is determined as follows
Rset=1.25V/(desired current A)
Another point to note,
For the driver tube, you can use anything which has 22X gain, I use 6n1p and the Ecc88 family.
the russian made the sonic more manly, and the Ecc88 brings out the famine touch...
Happy trying
Also remember the maximum voltage that the LM317 is capable of (I think 40V), for the 832A it is ok, for tubes like 6080 and KT88, you cannot use an LM317 for CCS.
It is important to keep V across the LM317 below 40V, and 1.5A is max allowable (with suitaheat sink). In this case, 81ma, its cool enough without any heatsink. I use P2P construction and the LM317 are all suspended in air.
If you desire anything more the 40V, there are many other ways of achieving jut that, As I'm lazy, I'll keep meself away from using any tubes which require that.
Cheers

My understanding is that 832se (no matter how many you use) sounds terrible. pre3 at world designs forum built one as well as a few others over there. Thehttp://www.diyaudio.com/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=2073826y do not speak highly of them. Now, 829se sounds pretty nice.
