Thank you!
Yes, the whole story is here on my Pinterest board. I kept photographing it at every stage. It's taken over my life for the past year, because all I have is the yard and the dining room to work in!

Here's a screenshot of just one part of my Pinterest board just to whet your appetite!
If you haven't used Pinterest you'll find it very worthwhile....LOADS of great hifi boards.....including on my pages.....its easy to register, and they NEVER hassle you with spam emails....
But anyway....as I say, this is a screenshot of just part of the story of my ATC clone build project.

I've enjoyed watching these develop, we had a long chat about them at Scalford in my room earlier in the year. Nice to see you finished.
I learned last week that ATC are no longer going to offer thier drivers to the DIY community, which is sad. Wilmslow will stock them for a while but that's it, so projects like this will start to be thin on the ground.

Nice to hear from you, Stefan, and glad that you were interested in my project.
I totally understand ATC not selling drivers etc as parts....what other major speaker manufacturer of specialist high-end loudspeakers does that? Celestion sell their 12" guitar speakers, etc, but they would never sell specialist parts like the 24" ribbon tweeter from their 7000 series. I guess it's partly to maintain the integrity of their own reputation, but also because, by-and-large, DIY tinkering with cars, hifi, etc., is now a relatively minor market, belonging to a few die-hard enthusiasts and those, like me, in their latter years, who can't stop fiddling!
See you at Scalford next year!
Hi Ellisr, I do in fact make these feet & outrigger leg kits to order, custom designed, some details at www.vintageaxeman.com.
It's a Townshend Maximum Ribbon Supertweeter. Goes up to about 40kHz.
The reason I integrated it was that a) I had tried it previously and it was effective. b)the genuine ATC tweeters that I have are the 34mm domes which are absolutely wonderful, but ATC sometimes supply them instead of the usual 25mm models, in commercial applications, with the 15" SL bass units and the midrange Superdomes to increase the maximum SPL of the whole system, the payoff being a very slight reduction in the frequency response between about 20-22kHz, which is where my Townshends 'kick in'.
