Today i received an Integra DX6570 that i bought on ebay. I thought it was the KA-5040R i'm also waiting for due to size and weight 😉
It was sold as defect, saying it would play with gaps. At first tries, it reads even cd-r quick and plays normal. I can skip forward and it tracks secure and fast....but if i skip some tracks backwards, the player doesn't track correct anymore and the spindle changes speed until it cancels.
I'm just learning for my final exams at university - so i cannot repair the player right now - but i would be grateful for any hint (or service manual) that's helping me fix it in the future.
As reading in general is no problem, i don't think it#s the laser itself (which is hard to get and expensive). Could a "simple" calibration cure it - and how#s the procedure at this 1989 onk?
