Hey, send me a mesg. let me know where you are in Canada. I have 6, 7, boxes and never used P2s.
I was going to make some up and sell them on Ebay; and will someday.
The box and driver would be in the 20lbs range.

Here's the woofer, about 5"deep.

We found out about them when we put one in a Chevy Blazer, and realized it was a nice little sub.

This box is a large at .37, but it will give might give you some ideas.

Cut up a cardboard test box, see what you can live with.

Many drivers have rear vent holes in the magnet structure to get rid of heat, as a rule of thumb the width of the vent would be a good bet to not reduce the heat transfer.

Thanks, I was refering more with the relationship to sound, if it doesn't have much impact on that I don't think my subs can really over heat at the level they're pushed in such a small truck cab 😀

Sound shouldn't be an issue, if the vent is too close to the back wall it will "chuff", but you won't hear it buried in a cabinet.
