Hi,
I just received a couple of Jpw SS-553. I connected them to my system and I found out that one channel was not working properly. So I exchange the laudspeakers and the same one was not working well. Only the bass part did.
I found out that the tweeter was broken, meaning that the magnet has fallen away from its frame. i trid to fix it in some way. but the mid-tweet section is not working. Do.anyone know which tweeter was mounted and/or suggest a replacement?
Due to the fact that the tweeter is not working, this is influencing the mid high part of the crosover?
Many thanks in advance

Thanks Allen,
Do you think that I could change the present tweters with a couple of these?
What I found out is that the originals are Peerless LR-10DT which are out of production.
Any suggestion for a Peerless raplacement?
many thanks in advance

Most dome tweeters have a similar sized and shaped dome, and are not very different spatially. They may still have differing responses.
There are a number of ways to make the change. Since you have a working tweeter, one way is to compare measurements of the two tweeters. You could even put the two boxes side by side with different tweeters.
You could adjust this by hand, or by simulator.
