I have a pair of Jordan-Watts speakers, two modules per side I wish to resuscitate. Could anybody clue me in as to disassembly voice coil centreing and refoaming? I would be very grateful. Thanks
It has been 35 years since i had a pair of Jordan-Watts. In the interim i did see some recone kits. Doing a surround replacement will be somewhat tricky as it is next to impossible to get at the back side without removing the cone/voice coil assembly. It is probably possible since these don't have a spider (and somehow those recones i saw were installable.
Whatever surround you get it will likely not be that close to the original,

thanks Dave. I've read somewhere recently how to do this but damned if I can remember where - curse of the web! I'm assuming that you can get into these from the back because that's where there are three screws. Slow and steady does it then.
The back is also where the rear suspension is IIRC (or is that just in my JX150... it has been a long time).

I guess you could ask Ted Jordan himself. There's an email address on his contact page:-
