Now I can say WOW!
Why you put that in front of the driver?
Doesn't affect the sound?
I can't understand a word of the forum you posted. But you're talking something about Fostex drivers.
Do you use the same cabinet with Fostex?Or it's just about a forum speaking general about these two drivers?

I put that grill front of element because i have little girl 😉
Aluminum cone is really thin.
it´s 120mm fan grill.
I haven´t Fostex,we speak general about Fostex and Jordan.
I can´t hear difference with grill or no grill...

Hi
I'm resurrecting this thread since I'm planning a build. I was thinking an internal volume nearer 21 litres, or .75 cu ft. How would that work in either infinite baffle or ported?

Hi andyjevans, check out Sreten's post #15 which shows 21 liters ported in red. Any particular reason for 21 liters?
Hi - thanks for responding. 21 litres just looks easy to construct in terms of a floor standing speaker of modest dimension. Something like 6 ins wide and 9 ins deep and about 3 ft high. Easily available sheets in those sizes.
I see the graph that looks good is 15 litres with port at 45hz. But seems to me it looks good because it's tuned to 45hz, not because it's 15 litres. There's no graph for 21 litres tuned at 45hz.
Am I making sense? My speciality is tube amps not speakers!

Hi andyjevans,
Oh! Well if you can go that big, how about GM's 31" MLTL? http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full...gms-jordan-jx92s-mltl-speaker.html#post450053
(There's also a 48" version.)
Or: JX92S MLTQWP speaker

Jordan's original VTL can also be built as a reflex, though I suspect GM's MLTL would be better.
