Ok, perhaps your definition of 'accuracy' is different to mine, ie I prefer Two Flames loopback recording because I find the clarity, dynamics, focussing and stability to be better than the 'Test Dept' original.

I reckon what I already have is better than BQP and useful in all the above applications, and the more in use the better the system gets.
The worse the system the better the subjective improvement and so far I have not found Goop to be any drawback, in systems ranging from home hi-fi through hi-end($ 200k+) through to stadium systems ($millions+) I have found it to be of benefit always.
I meant CD, tell me a title or performers and I might be able to find it.

I would be glad to participate as long as the files are not identified and something like groups of 4 with it unknown if 1, 2, 3 of either is included. Unfortunately there is no way to eliminate the data examination cheat but it could be less obvious than the last time.
More like PMA's tests where nothing is disclosed until a few folks try.

Hi Scott, this current pair of files is not a challenge as such, it is intended to be educational and illustrate what subjective changes occur when analog signal is routed through DAC/CABLE/ADC process, and in this case illustrate that this 'remastering' can be preferable to the original.
I can turn this into a more formal test by changing ONE parameter only (the loopback cable) and without files identifications we can see what preferences emerge, but accompanying justifying descriptions would be required to complete the value of the findings. By all means please go ahead and see if you are able to discriminate the two new CD quality Test Dept recordings (sighted is fine), if you are able to do so I can shift that to blind testing by renaming the two files and if you can pass that we can move to comparing three or more files.
In the first case you stated the files 'are the same' which is now known to be a subjective test false negative, but why ?.....not paying attention, in a bad mood at me, preconceived notions, negative expectation bias, your system is not good enough....or what ?, There is some reason that you were excluded from being reliable test subject, perhaps this CD quality test may change your eligibility, or not ?. Either way I thank you and everybody who participates, this is all in the name of advancement of audio recording and reproduction (and other stuff), Goop is serious advance in my opinion and with the right help this understanding and knowledge deserves to be universal and I can't hope to make it a household name on my own, all helps will be rewarded.
IMO it's a real pity that the mere mention of the mysterious Large 'BQP' causes such emotional reaction, derision and hysteria from those who have not experienced this device. I could draw a parallel regarding other subjects such as UFOs.......there are all kinds of accounts of sightings from credible witnesses but historically the media and authorities and militaries have poured scorn and derision and discredit on these witnesses, and just why would that be ?......I will leave this as a rhetorical question.
There are a bunch of good minds here, some strictly institutionally 'educated' and others who come from different knowledge bases, surely between us all we ought to be able to reverse engineer and explain the construction and operation of Large BQP ?. None of us are getting any younger and all the ego based nonsense that fouls this forum is just wasting everybody's time, this thread was formed in honour of JC in order that good minds could share knowledge and experiences and collaborate to improve the audio art, at least for the DIYer. The music posts are an antidote to some of the "audiophile" drivel. BTW there are numerous free downloads that will let one examine the data, and I wish you would not call it "measurement" because that implies measurement vs. ears. A digital file is data there is no hidden information.

A dedicated thread would be a good idea for this kind of exploration/informal testing but I would need to have edit permissions to delete the garbage posts that do not belong, posts from the likes of the fudkwits and ABXers who can't read first posts and insist on divisive and derisive behaviour.

I have downloaded the files into Twisted Wave on my iPad for a proper listening session later. I have no idea or any expectations of what I should or could be hearing, which is all to the good.
When you say ‘looped’ do you mean ‘gooped’? ...... might have been an auto spell typo. 🙂
