@mark,
No, not any particular post other than the repeated "power cords makes a difference" that gets every once in a while reverberated, the underlying message that seems to be peddled is, these special power cords seem to "always" make a favorable difference irrespective of or any mentioning whether the mains supply is heavily polluted or not, rather it's tilting towards. FUD based sales talk.
Reading Howies post I can only agree with it.

Ridikas, see what happens when I use the 'B' word here? '-)

Wait a minute John. It could be that the B. things do something as you say they do. Scott tried one to see if it did what the advertising claims stated. You didn't bother to defend Jack's character when it came to the advertising. Do you want to defend those claims now?

Regarding what you have said about your personal experiences using B. devices, fine, maybe so. I said if somebody wants to send me one to listen to I will try it but I am not going to buy one first to find out. If someone wants to send one and it works I will say so, if not then not. Happy to return it when I am done. I think that should be considered fair enough. Do you disagree?

I think this is a very big misconception. I know a large amount of audiophiles in Chicago and most of them are honest with themselves. There are equal amount of instances where power cables don't make a difference, or the difference is not worthwhile, or not as good as what's already owned.

I like the idea of being able to try the product in your own system before purchase and have it speak for itself. However, that's not always possible.

This is the kind of very big ego that is a detriment to invention. Is it possible that your hearing is not so good, or maybe the ability to understand what to listen for needs work? And that there are other much more capable people out there?

Don't sweat it Ridikas, once in the past having worked for a certain telecom company here in Finland in which facilities we had a full size and accredited EMC room plus a couple of smaller ones where I spent quite a lot of time measuring both conducted (LISN) 150kHz-30 MHz, and emitted 30MHz-1GHz, in accordance with CISPR 22/EN 55022 I think I have some clues what power cords can or can not do, also special EMI cords which you have to remember such cords aren't used mainly to filter only what's going in but also coming out of the electronic equipment, and where the potential problems lies if such a "special" power cord is needed.

Somehow I had managed to not be aware of this Bybee thing until now. Only been a few years since I became seriously interested in audio. But checked it out now. Well... I'm utterly and completely shocked. I stand in disbelief. Does this even exist? ARE PEOPLE BUYING THESE PRODUCTS??? It is just wacko and insane beyond belief.
(apologize for the strong words, but I couldn't restrain myself)
