Good trick Ian is dead. 😀 Did they carry on without him? They were the only band banned by all college radio in even the most liberal of times (The Dead Kennedys, Meatmen, Feederz, etc. were all OK for airplay).
So did John G, 10 years ago. No, the last one is a "Best Of" from 2007.
Mind you, Mr. Putzey did not make any extraordinary claim that would require extraordinary evidence. You did, and the lack of any evidence supporting your claims disqualifies you as an EE. You had your chance, now go on with your sales pitch.

In one ear and out the other.... obviously doesn't apply to you: check your ego, Waly.

Exactly! Come to BAF 2017, Nelson Pass will speak through my PA system, with my PA line arrays and SE tube amplifier.
That would be on Nov 12 at Ft. Mason, folks!
the Putzey interveiw wasn't bad, but for linear amplification, including analysis of (multistage) clipping, a lot of higher order loop compensation was published by 1980 - in Russian, see BJ Lurie Dr. Boris J. Lurie's Journal Articles
I only know his work from his English language books, 1st in 1986 - by the uni library date due slip stamps I was only the 2nd person in a decade to check it out
and for this thread I don't think the order of the feedback Putzey uses is relevant since few are making self oscillating Class D - 'self oscillating' means the spontaneaous large signal rail to rail clipping is the normal mode of operation due to the 'excess' phase shift of his circuit

I was at Fort Mason just yesterday, for the American Craft Show SF, which is a juried exhibition -- they only accept the very best work. Bought some very nice items for home decoration AND had a spectacular lunch at The Greens restaurant (located within Fort Mason). If you're at all interested in high end vegetarian cuisine, check out their cookbooks #1 and #2. If you're coming to San Francisco for BAF-2017 and spending the night in town, I recommend you consider getting a reservation at The Greens. It's mind blowing.

Yes, and we are getting ready! It would be great to see you all, especially Jan Didden and Scott Wurcer there! And, of course, John Curl himself!

I was pissed off when they in USSR forced us to solve differencial equations on analog computers! I thought that they just used ancient technology because they still had it... But later I become aware and grateful for that. They trained us to get taste of feedback, to feel by guts control and other systems with multiple feedback loops! 😀
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

The emoticon I would use to reply to this unsolicited, confused, and snooty message is unfortunately not available.
I used to LOVE analog computers, at least the concept, but then I love just about anything analog! '-) The picture at the left is someone like me running the computer that I used to run over 50 years ago.

I used to think of myself, as a "Progressive Guy, Solid State Future Forever"! 😀
It was something odd to see that huge cases with "obsolete" vacuum tubes inside.

I fixed the Analog Computer used for a couple of labs in the intro Control Systems course I was taking - used RCA CA3140 from my own hobby electronics stock
the course had another lab writing a simple numerical integration and feedback loop in Fortran on the VAX 11/780 - they were very excited, the VAX for the Mech E Dept being new that year

As soon as I got access to a Soviet version of IBM/360 - I calculated all notes, up and down from 440 Hz, through all audio band, from 20 Hz to 20 KHz. 😀
I slipped it inside of a problem on Fortran-4 to calculate some stupid equation that nobody needed.

Wrong place to start man, should have been 432Hz 😎
Sorry, I did not know that! 😛
When I was operating an IBM1620 computer in 1966, I did a transient analysis of a choke input power supply. I used ECAP at the time. The first computer that I ran was an IBM7094 (transistor based computer) in 1963.

The farmers market is first rate too, bought an artisanal washed rind blue cheese that would win gold in many European fairs. Unfortunately it was not about to go into luggage or on the plane so I had to eat it all myself.
I go here https://fortmason.org/events/ and I keep hitting "load more" until it stops loading. Nothing like "BAF" loads. Does BAF have a dedicated website?
