Where? Where are the results? Have you shared them with mr. Bonsai during your CFA cabballah sessions? Inquiring Scathophaga stercoraria and gadfly maggot needs to know.
Are you trying to high-jack my project? I'll tell more when i am finished and listening to it.
Maybe. If you are good.

Understood. No data is currently available. I thought so...

i love your assumptions.... just not available to YOU.

Hey Waly !! What is it?
Porn images of your check book. Mr. Wurcer is right, yours is bigger.
poor heat transfer??
Immediate reaction looking at the pix.
Very nice looking.
Seems like rather poor heat transfer to the finned heatsinks?
The fat aluminum block will certainly "spread" the heat, and take a long time to get hot, but it seems like a standard finned heatsink with a large flat surface, while looking less exotic/Krell-ish would actually transfer more heat more quickly to the air??
Is it pure class A?
How many watts are estimated in heat??
signed,
confused and curious
The JBL M2 has left the shipping dock -- I need two of these 2-channel amps.... making progress:
My tech support is via Magnet Techology, Bangkok, Thailand.
Suitably uber High End audiophile system.

The pictures read DR-900, take a guess
(Mine is that Mr. Marsh intends to pull up a chair at 3ft distance from the M2's and apply a generous 90 degree turn on the volume knob. Noblesse oblige, an audiophile leaves this galaxy in style)
ignore, nah I'm warming the popcorn for the questions on how skin depth matters in blocking H-fields. Back when I was a larva we used permeability. How the world has changed since then.
Nah. Permeability is still used...you are correct.
However, the use of the classic term "skin depth" is more appropriate to the blocking of propagating e/m waves that are already significantly far field. The term can be loosely applied to near field, but not as an exacting descriptor.
In close proximity, the eddies and loop currents of the metal structure will buck the time varying field, generating an opposing field. So while the thicknesses are too small for significant blocking of planar e/m waves, the impact will indeed be significant in terms of lowering the inductance as well as blocking fields. I showed this with the inductor sweeps I posted on my gallery a while ago..
The real question is of course, how much is the level of effect.
John
DOH! Looked again, those are extrusions with the flat part perpendicular to the finned part - oops. Sorry.
But how many whattis are these supposed to make??
Thought the design was for a 200w/ch AB amp?
-still obviously confused

I think thy want to impress customer, no need for so big heat sink. This amp is 200W/8 ohm, a bit less then 400W/4 ohm and could drive 3 ohm load too. Class AB.
We will be experimenting with more class A and evaluate effects. But it wont run hot, that is for sure.

yes, it is a lot bigger. 🙂
More assumptions..... it isnt going to cost me anything (0). 😎
Hmmmm. I might try them in bridged mode, too.
