I think we are in the realm that the drop in the noise floor above 10MHz could easily be caused with a bit of R and L in the right place. For example the spiffy Neutrik EMC series XLRs. These do something to noise and for around £10 for the plug and £3 for the panel mount seem to be rather good value for emc peace of mind.
Despite that any RLC would be different than the up to know alleged identity to a resistor, if you look at the mentioned chart, noise floor drop started well below the 10 MHz marker, in fact it started to drop already at the beginning of the sweep, which started (due to mid center and stop frequency) at 300 kHz.
But in any case i really like the Neutrik solution. 🙂
Jakob -- I clearly haven't put as much research effort into the company as you, but as you say, it does smell rather fishy.
But i really hope that it´s not; as said before they are quite good with the news management, see this very promising release:
Flow Cell Power – 1,000 km in 8:21 Hours - nanoFlowcell AG
Much closer to my world is the case study of Theranos, where the universe was promised and a pebble delivered, if that. All hushed in secrecy. Not sure if that was deliberate misdirection as the billion(s?) invested are working their way through the legal system now.
So I may come across rather cynical, but I hope it's more an acknowledgment of humanities weaknesses rather than a general assumption of fraudulence. (Although that happens often enough)
It may look like cynism, but as long as companies in need for venture capital to do real work don´t suffer from shortage, one could argue that even the fraudolent ones are making money work, paying workers, goods and so on. But of course only if no one looses money who can´t afford it....
Of course, I mean what I say. Why would I bother otherwise? Sorry, Scott, you have been set against me by others (I hope) but I do try to be both accurate and honest in my inputs here and elsewhere. I am just a guy looking for better audio, and brave enough to trust my ears, and even tell others what I have found.
I have no direct connection with Jack Bybee, except as a phone friend, or perhaps 2-3 times/year we might actually see each other. This last month brought us together twice for a few hours. At the first meeting at the CAL Hi Fi show in Oakland, I paid for lunch. A week or so later, Jack took me out to lunch. Kind of normal with colleagues, isn't it? Yes I get samples of his products, but I have never designed the quantum devices into any of my designs, but I am now putting the 'Music Rails' in one of my new Parasound Amps that will be released in future. Years ago I did some design for him, but it did not directly involve his quantum devices.
Unfortunately, Jack has used my name associated with his to promote some of the products where I actually contributed a circuit that he could use. SY went nuts when this happened, but it was a 'tempest in a teapot' and I was slightly annoyed as well that this happened without my knowledge at the time. Well, he stopped making the product, so that is all over.

These guys have really expanded their reach. Brilliant Light Power
Please Note: Due to the high volume of inquiries, we can only respond to those inquiries deemed to be potential matches.
Cranbury, NJ (July 11, 2016) — Brilliant Light Power, Inc. (BrLP) announced today that it has continuously generated over a million watts of power from a new primary source until the cell vaporized from the intense heat. The power released by the conversion of hydrogen atoms from water molecules in to a lower energy form called “Hydrino” or dark matter is manifest as brilliant-light emitting plasma wherein the light is uniquely and extraordinarily essentially all high-energy light in the extreme ultraviolet.
I hope no one was hurt in the process.

I´ve posted a schematic earlier (a simple I/V stage for current output DACs) which I plan to build and measure.
Since I posted it here, I want to include my observations, to show some understanding of the circuit rather than leave it floating. Attached as a txt.
Thanks

Thanks John!
(Thank Scott for the neat common mode servo.)
You are welcome use it in good listening. 🙂
Brilliant stuff and yes it can be ridiculously complex. I forgot my introduction but IIRC it was on an old Spanish organ with the Vox Humana stops (?). This effect was wonderfully used by Popol Vuh in their Kinski film scores (must have LP's). BTW Philip Glass did wonders on the "Mishima" soundtrack, I love this film others might not.
I agree Popul Vuh (Florian Fricke) is a must-listen. I first heard his music on an evil college radio station (WRTC-Hartford) in 1973 or so and was drawn to it like a magnet...it is mesmerizing. His sound tracks for Kinski's movies are the key element to Kinski eliminating a lot of dialog so successfully, as in 'Aguirre - The Wrath Of God.' Anyone who has not experienced this movie needs to...
Re: Philip Glass; I saw him recently live with Laurie Anderson, and it was a wonderful collaboration. They did an homage to Lou Reed which was really great.
Cheers!

When they poll famous film pundits I don't know why this does not appear in more top 10's of all time. I gave my sister a copy two years ago and she couldn't stop thanking me.

I am enjoying the music of James Taylor a lot 🙂
Bybee ---- well, maybe the inductive phase shift and two R paths allow for a noise cancellation..... partial anyway because it is 90 degree phase shift. Summing with 90 degrees
Thus the noise removal also shown by JC.
you think?

I think we should discuss cable stands now, under 90 degrees to the floor, and to cables.

Some good pieces in this concert. A bit more distance between mike and guitar would have been better.
