Yes, they do run for the doors.
John Adams' Gospel According to the Other Mary did a nice job of thinning the Disney Hall crowd at intermission, not quite to the swinging a cat criterion but close. I was glad the seat was provided by Toole, with whom I stayed to the bitter end, and with whom I also endured the pre-concert lecture by Adams and Peter Sellars.
Good playing and singing though.

In case you haven't seen it All Night Long, 1963 with Patrick McGoohan is a UK jazz scene flick with Dave Brubeck and Charles Mingus along with others performing. It even has audiophile interest, Richard Attenburough is a rich bachelor with a posh pad who invites professional musicians to perform at his parties while he tapes them with some nice looking reel-to-reel gear. Way ahead of Hollywood on drugs and race issues.

Is this what you mean :
The Gibson ES 335: Dot Neck v Block Neck

No, the neck of his guitar seemed curiosly thin (or long ?) to me for an ES 335.> Is it not something strange with its neck , comparing with original 335 ?

As a cultural pessimist, I have always found Philip Glass half empty.
Bwaaahahaha!
I've never been able to enjoy Glass' music on its own. Whenever I've enjoyed it it's only been as a soundtrack, like Koyaanisqatsi.

I suffered through an all-Glass program at the Hollywood Bowl several years ago, which included the LA Phil playing the soundtrack to that movie while it was screened. Mildly interesting. Once again my ticket was a gift, from another friend, with whom I reserved my judgments about the composer for the most part. Or being minimalism perhaps that should be "for the least part".Bwaaahahaha!

For jazz, try some Oscar Peterson.
One of my favorites is 'Salute to Bach'.

All-glass would be a bit much. Bit like a single painter exhibition in a gallery. Or trying to stay awake through a complete tangerine dream concert (I didn't). But composition, like anything is finding the limits then backing it off a couple of dB 🙂
Now where is that Steve Reich box set...

I think I bought that one, but haven't gotten through it yet.Now where is that Steve Reich box set...
I've got 'Phases'. Was £7 at my fave second hand record shop. Good for dipping into now and again.
Aside: One of other CDs I picked up the proprietor said 'My father composed that'. Not sure the odds on that one given it was one of the more obscure naxos releases!

Mishima? Though the jazzy cut offends even my ears. I'll never look at a picture of St. Sebastian the same again, to think this was going on the year I dropped all my courses.
