You remember me of early days when we were building quasi complementary amplifiers with ad140 and ac127 - 132 as drivers.
That was 1966. Soon came AD 161 -162 and with complementary pairs we were able to brake the 0,5% dist level.
And the next year we found 2N3055 and with that in a bridge it was possible to reach 100w.
