I have a jl audio 750/1 that is in protection for some reason. But I can't find out why. Rail and regulated present. Drive on then power supply present. Oscillation on the outputs also present yet it's flashing red and green. Stuck in protection?
If anyone knows about this amps muting curcuit I would love to know how to get this back out of protection.
There is three LM339PW I/c on the boards, wouldn't these be responsible for the protection curcuit>?
All the outputs and power supply mosfets are ok, So i dont get it. But, i have heard of these amplifiers having this issue alot. So solving it wqould be a good thing. Ant suggestionis?

It does not. It Powers up and draws normal current without the preamp board, but the power led remains unlit. With or Without the preamp board the DC at the speaker terminals is .003 draws about 1.5amp of current.

Without the preamp board, does it produce rail voltage?
If I'm not mistaken, these amps use a flyback power supply. If so, the start-up current is extreme. Does the amp power up normally (preamp board in place) on a well charged battery in good condition and large power wire?
Edit: I looked at some photos of the only HD I have and it uses a push-pull supply. The question about starting with plenty of current capacity is still valid.
