I have this amp and I am trying to figure out what these two yellow things are so I can replace them (the two rectanguler melted things). They apear to be the same as in other places on the amp but I need to know what they are called. I also screwed up a couple clips that hold the transistors to the board so if anyone knows where to get them that would be sweet. And the resistors, anyone know of a good chart? The transistors are Irfz44n so that wont be a problem to get.

I have no information on this particualr amp.
JL typically uses 0.1uf caps (marked 104) in the locations where you have the yellow capacitors.
The gate resistors are typically 47 ohms in other JL amps. There are at least a few that have survived that you can measure (after the removal of the resistor or the FETs) to see if that's correct.

Does it matter what type of cap used? Will the replacements look the same or can they be differant?
You need polyester/Mylar caps. They need to be the same value but they don't have to look the same. The pin spacing is important so that they fit into the board.
Thanks for your help I ordered the parts and we will see how it goes. Anybody have any ideas on the transistor clips?
The clips generally have to be salvaged from another amp. Since all of the clips of this type vary slightly, it's best to use clips from another JL amp.
