Maybe I misunderstood.Wait to see if there any other suggestions but the KSA1220A and the KSC2690A are generally good driver replacements. They are much faster than the originals which can cause some issues.
But even when the replacements are faster (therefore better) than the originals can problems occur?
Definitely. A faster transistor can tend to oscillate or create noise in a circuit where damping wasn't needed for a slower transistor.
This is a class A/B amp. Class D amps have different requirements and faster transistors may be OK (although the fastest available may have been the original parts).
