jfet output for f4

This thread as well as the L'Amp thread has caught my eye. I have been using my ZenLite amp to drive my headphones (Denon DH5000) and like the results.

The idea of a Magma driven F4 or 6l6's Aleph Jango as well as generg's L'Amp with Semisouth mu fascinate me. Any thoughts as how they might sound driving headphones (hope you dont mind me asking here). I have some F4 boards, some aleph J boards, IFR 240s, a matched pair of Semisouth 100s and a CLC PS pirated from a AKSA amp (from another life).

Thanks

Bob

for your needs follower seems as best solution

if you ask me - using any preputium part there is a waste

make mini F4 - IRF510/9510 in output , few hundreds mA Iq

under condition that you want that sort of output ........ not SE

for SE , just take a look at BA articles

Hi all!

Zen Mod's post #12 here shows the crippled F4. So, what are the technical pros and cons in comparison to the BA-2 output stage? Won't it be easier to buy BA-2 boards if one wishes to have a power follower without the JFets (crippled F4)?

Kind regards,
Matthias

Thanks Zen Mod!
And it's very easy, I bought already some BA-2 boards, as I had a spur at the moment when I ordered that I'll like to play with a power buffer also! 😀
I think/guess that the bias mechanism is slightly a different. Can I adjust anything there to get the perfect operation conditions for 3 output pairs? (ok, 0,47 source resistors as mentioned in the manual, but perhaps the same diodes or other stuff like shown in the F4 diagram?)
