JEI V30 amp

G'day from Brisbane.

I've had a Jennings electronic industries V30 amp for some years and def not working. It was made by the short lived successor to Vox;a company started by Tom Jennings in the early seventies i think. Its a bit Vox like in that it has 4 x El84 but with reverb. All PCB construction with power supply, power valves and preamp valves on PCB.

I've decided to restore this thing and started testing to see what was underpar and so forth.

The power supply is puzzling me a bit.Its looks like a normal bridge rectifier capacitor/resister configuration however the B+ tested at the first cap was about 620v with no load.

On looking at the transformer again i'm beginning to think that this was a replacement and not rated correctly.

I remember that when i got this thing there was a series string of five 1K 10w resistors on the B+ line.Could this have been used to attempt to lower the B+ in which case i'll need a new properly rated power transformer before i make any further inroads here.

These are the only photos i can find online at present.Seems to be a pretty rare piece.

Thanks to anyone who helps here.
