I'm using the free Spread32 XLS which works fine on other .XLS's but with JB's Woofer Box and Circuit Designer 5.xls it says it's PW protected. Is this correct, & if so what's the PW ?
TIA

Jeff doesn't share the password to any of his spreadsheets and this should not be necessary for you to use it. The password gives the user access to all his VBA code, which is Jeff's personal property.
His spreadsheets only work in Excel, and with 32 bit O/S versions. Many of his programs no longer work properly for me under Excel on a computer running Windows 8.1-64bit.
You are probably SOL with Spread32.

Thanx for replying.
Bill poster had the same issue also with another of JB's software http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/soft...ive-crossover-design-7-software-released.html
I'm on XP
Why it asks for a PW just to run the spreadsheet though ?

You're missing the point. The macros won't run on anything but Excel. On Excel it doesn't ask for a password.
Designed for Excel, works perfectly in Excel, whether you're running 32 or 64 bit Windows 7 (I have systems with both) or XP. I can't speak for Windows 8 -I avoid it like the plague.

Bill poster also had the same PW problem even though he is using MS Excel http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/soft...ive-crossover-design-7-software-released.html
"Maybe" he hadn't updated Excel to the specs required, as mentioned on the download www ?
