Oh yes, these are large stand mounts, hence my comment on Spirit Wind or Revolution Minis being potentially better for some folks!
I heard them once, Jeff's/Javad's build of, and thought they were amazing. It took measuring at 113dB just to register the HD plot on the interface, so they are ultra clean. Jeff was very proud of their performance.

Wow, those are gorgeous. stretchneck, you are making me very jealous with those speakers and the SIT-3. Did the amp narrow the gap between the helios and the LX521? I agree that being able to change amps more conveniently and invest in a better two channep amp is a huge advantage.

The SIT-3 is very special, Helios work well with them upto a point, but realistically (In my opinion) F5 Turbo, BA3 or XA series would be better. Helios like an amp with grunt.
It takes A LOT to better LX521 - F5 Turbo (or equiv) and Helios would likely do this. 85dB sensitivity on the Helios is ok, the SIT3 will drive them, I can hear the magic, but I feel there is more to give.
FYI Raelman sold his LX521’s before the Helios, he used tube amps on the Helios so likely more wattage. I have tried tube amps before, but I can’t get on with their lack of image specifity… I like the pin point imaging of solid state.
Shortly I will decide to either keep these Helios (best 2 way I’ve heard) and change amps (SIT3 is the best solid state I’ve heard..arg!) vs keeping the SIT3 and building a very very expensive speaker such as Troels Ellipticor 3… I think this is the only way you’ll better the Helios (high sensitivity mid & tweeter, separately powered woofer).
I’m learning lots on the journey. If anyone want a pair of Helios drop me a pm in case I take the option to spend lots of money… I’ll need the funds 🙂

I see. That makes sense. I haven't used any speakers below 88db sensitivity so I haven't experienced that problem. I have a F6 and love it so far. I have an itch to build some different boards. Right now I am listening to some ~90db speakers and they are able to rattle the pictures on the wall using the F6... lol
I like the imaging of SS as well. There are few 2-ways that I have liked. I suspect the Helios may be far different than anything that I have heard though.
As much as I like the idea of the SIT3, the speakers that you have are beautiful and very unique. Nelson Pass is still making amplifier designs doesn't sent o be close to running out of ideas.
Troels Ellipticor 3 looks like a wonderful speaker. I love the simple crossover. Simple crossover and a simple amp could be a nice recipe.
