Hi im currently running 2 subs(SR4715X) off of one RMX 4050 and 2 midtops(SR4731X) off a 2450. i have a Behringer super x pro also in the configuration sending 100hz to 20hz signal to the subs. what is the best possible configuration to get everything as loud as possible without killing them ? Id prefer to keep the passive crossovers inside the speakers active.
many thanks for any help 😀
possible to run it all of one 4050 ? if i run channel 1 to the mid tops and channel 2 to the subs ? and link them ?

You could run the lot of the 4050, though you'd lose stereo.
Note that the 4050 would be running pretty hard - 2ohm per channel.
Someone said around here: "Driving amps down to 2ohm loads is only done in an emergency. If your rig starts with 2ohm loads, you need more amps."
If it were mine, I'd sell the amps and get more power. Either a 5050, a MA5000VZ, or something else of that order. Maybe a Vortex 6 if you're feeling flush.

You almost got it.. just raise the lowcut on the subs to 40hz and you're done. I don't think you will get much more out of this system with bigger amps, for live sound apps you could do a little better but for DJ apps you already have enough to melt voice coils if the system is pushed.sending 100hz to 20hz signal to the subs. what is the best possible configuration to get everything as loud as possible without killing them
