For home application, the 2452(SL) may well be better due to the aquaplas coating- assuming there is no 'sl' version of the 2453. It reduces distortion, particularly 3rd order.

FYI for the real JBL enthusiasts.
Just noticed there is indeed a 2453-SL version, used in the top-of-the-line of the Marquis series of dance club speakers.

Sorry for the delay, I have "Behringer ECM8000" microphone connected to the Native Instruments GmbH - "Audio Kontorl-1" USB audio box using about 5m long mic-audio cable.
