Hi
I have an opprtunity to buy this:
https://www.dba.dk/andet-15-jbl-signature/id-1103395958/
I was thinking of putting it in my twin reverb, sort of making a "Vibrosonic" amp, because i heard one once, and liked the jbl 15" vibe.
I am very unvertain about the wattage this speaker can handle. Some say only 25, others say 60 watts.
Does anyone know, how much it can handle?
Btw. Will pull two tubes from the twin reverb, so there will be an impedance match, and less wattage thean 100 😉

This speaker is not suitable for a Fender Twin Reverb, it will not last long, before burning out.
The Twin can produce, with ease, more than 80Watts RMS continuously, 120W peak and the speaker in question is designed for up to 60 Watts!

I guess youre right about that.
Just found info, that it was essentially the same speaker, as an d130f, found in The vibrasonic (same as a twin)
But maybe its not the same. It's hard to find exact specs. Some sites claim the d130f is rated for 100 watts, others say 60🙈

Early Alnico had very tight Gap clearances.
So most the thermal issue was older voice coil glue and the coil
windings expanding and rubbing the gap.
It was the only difference between D130 and D130F
Was the gap was widened and the surround had
different formula for the edge seal AKA " goop"
So the D130F does have higher thermal rating.
And likely slightly stiffer edge suspension
Depends how hard you push it and drive into distortion.
D130 was common in early SUNN 2x15.
They are known to blow if you heat them up too much.
Is again mainly the gap clearance.
Early 200S and guitar heads about 65 watts.
Of course clipping hard closer to 75/85
So was fixed with added gap with F series

For a Twin Reverb, I'd suggest looking at Electro-Voice EVM series or if you get lucky an old pair of SRO12 Alnico. The SRO with coffee can covers for the coils is probably going to stick out the back end of the amp, but they sound absolutely brilliant on that style of amp.
Yeah, but are you really ever going to use more than 10-15 watts? People don't seem to understand how loud a guitar amp is at 10watts, let alone 30.
Update:I did put it in. The "cranked twin" was never really a plan anyway. I pulled two of the output tubes, so there is a 8 ohm match. And it´s not a 100watter anymore. It does sound absolutely gorgeous. The clean sound is amazing, and I will just have to control myself, with the master volume knob😉
