Jasper Jig Question

I've just replaced my ancient Jasper with a new one, Model 200.

In the past I always set it 1/16" larger than the actual measurement needed, a practice generally accepted by most. Has anyone experience with newer models? Is the extra 1/16" still needed?

Not sure where the boundary between old and new is but I've had the small Jasper for about 8 years and the medium for 5 years or so and both appear to provide results very close (within 1/64") to the nominal dimension on the jig. I use a Freud solid carbide spiral bit and carefully center the jig to the router collet.

Of course if you are working in solid wood on larger work-pieces then wood movement will swamp any intrinsic errors in the jig on this scale.
