Yesterday I went to bed at 2am.. woke up, and got up at 6am and breakfast consisted of a mug of coffee with 3 nicely heaped teaspoons of coffee.. I almost threw up.. 😛 Its now 3:30 am, and I have been awake since 6am this morning..... we went to Jaycar today... my friend locked his keys in his car.. it was fun.. you'd be supprised how many criminals there are around the adelaide streets willing to help someone break into their car... and for some reason half of them were carrying screwdrivers and pliers or wirecutters in their bags... perhaps I have said too much.. perhaps you were one of those nice helpfull people. 🙂 why did so many people KNOW how to get into the car.. and yet none of them suceeded... we finally got in when a nice person lent us his set of 30+ car keys.. and we tried a few... I am not going to say anything more..

Its 3:45 am... I need money....... I have a pair of almost finished towers...
I have filter capacitors and transformers for an amp.....
I can fix stuff.. did you know that??
I am taking cans to the depot to get money....
hello hello..

SkinnyBoy is starting a new trend on audio message boards-"stream-of-consciousness" posting.....😀
What does YAY stand for ? huh lol youd rather try to find a job while sleeping instead of scratching your eyes on your screen... And BTW what happened to your towers ? WHERE are you gonna put those the tweeters lol 😛.

The general ideal is to mount the tweeters so that the center is between 32 and 34 inches high. That is ear level for a normal person seated in a nice comfy armchair.
It is not a rule that has to be enforced rigidly. 🙂

Gus, YAY doesn't stand for anything its something you exclaim 🙂 sort of a cheer......
Breaking into cars is dead simple (and no I'm not a car thief) if you know how the locking mechanism works for that car (ever pulled a door trim off?)
It's even more easy if the car has locks with knobs on top or better still quarter vents, all you need then is a piece of packing tape (The blue strap stuff) I found this out when the alarm on my morris scared off a potential thief and they left the packing tape in the quarter vent, didn't take too long to work out what they did. I just wish more criminals knew how to use it so that they wouldn't smash windows or screwdriver locks!!! Not that it matters with my current car as it's got deadlocking and nothing but the key will open it (except maybe oxy or an angle grinder)
I got told by a policeman once how to get into a VN commodore in 2 seconds without leaving any marks or doing any damage (I had borrowed one from work and someone screwdrivered the lock to get in, as well as doing sever damage to the steering column (the NRMA guy then showed me what they should have done to the steering lock and ignition barrel (He said they usually have a special tool which breaks it in a few seconds).
Show me a morris 1100 and I can probably get into it within about 30 seconds, and have it running and ready to go in probably a bit over a minute. Actually If I use my key make that about 10 seconds, once the locks are warn just about any morris key will fit 🙂 I once had a friend with a 1964 datsun blue bird, walk up to my morris unlock the door and start the engine with his bluebird key, which looked nothing like my morris key!
I think many people learn how to get into cars from when the call out the NRMA (not sure of the equivalent in SA) when they have locked their keys in the car (thankfully another thing it's next to impossible to do with my car).
Regards,
Tony.

How do you figure that? isn't that pretty low? 😛
everyone said they had the only way to break into the car... none of them worked.. 😛 well... with a few hours more work they probably all would have.. 😛

They probably knew how to break into their own car so they tried that but it didn't work on friends car 🙂
I like that the solution was some dude who just had so many keys that one was bound to work

32-34"?? suppose it depends on the chair and the person. Just checked with me on my sofa and it would be 36-37" for me!
Regards,
Tony.
PS. hope you are going to bed at a reasonable hour tonight

And if nothing work at all you could try to build them stands 😀 Hey why not ! Personnaly, I see a little ported sub just under the tower say a 10'' ported to go with your ''let see if we can hear it down the street'' system.
