I have 4-JBL 2240's and 4-RCF 18's(pulled from a pair of Yorkville Elite sub 1000 cabinets) and was curious of a isobaric configuration.I know these need at least 12ft3 so I thought about making the smaller boxes would work.I am not sure if I would get the 15-20hz out of them? or wheather this would even work, but instead of buying new subs,I thought I would ask you fella's.
I have lots of power on tap and a open mind.
thanks

If you plan to mount the magnet outward, do check for cooling noise before you decide.
Especially with RCF.
Especially with RCF.

I wonder what kind of results I could get with these drivers in this configuratiou with about 1600 watts at 4ohms/3200 at 2ohms

Well that looks great.........I been thinking this may be a obvious choice to keep the box size down (for a huge woofer). And I really like the sound of an Iso, it's deep throated.
What is the risk of having problems with the two cones staying aligned? I know sometimes one can push the opposing cone with air build up in the tunnel.
Do some designs vent the tunnel (1/16" hole), that seems like a double edge sword.
I would guess this is less of a problem with more "springy" suspension drivers.

Hi guys
I am looking into the JBL 2245's in a isobaric box.
Has anyone tried this?

Hey,thanks guys.
so what are some optins in dimentions here? I would like to keep it as low in profile as possible and can use a square/rectangle vent also as I find them to help with bracing.Obviously to get access to the woofers would mean a push/pull or ?
I do have lots to learn but I can build,so now I need help with some plans. This is for 2ch music at high SPL in a 4way active system consisting of several other JBL parts.
