The cost of the unit is $15 at Radioshack if u can get one (got the last display model in my neighborhood). About 10min of work to take few screws out (no soldering) and remove a board. The sound is surprisingly good. Only listened to it about 10min.
Is there a electronics guru who can improve the sound with minimal soldering? I would also be interested in changing case or appearance.
