puck mosfets are , as far as I remember , somewhere around 5V-ish, while I still didn't found SIT with more than 4V5-ish

After reading Mr.Pass's post, I bought a quad of 2SK182ES. I think it may be the last one from by Mr. Watanabe before the recent relisting. Based on the tracer curve, their Vgs is about -4.4V at Ids=2A and Vds=25V. So it is a kind of low when I compared it with the curve posted by other Diyers. So I was little bit worried. Then I saw Mr. Pass's DEFSIT circuit, and think they may be a perfect match to 1XFN40P50P.
Not yet. Still doing research, and see what's the best.
Meanwhile I am waiting for Mr. Pass' new circuit anxiously to see if the SITs can be used.

I don't think so - when the bias current goes up, the LED conducts more
and the npn transistors conducts more and the voltage across the
Gates get bigger and the bias current goes up....

After revisited the thread "F4 Beast Builders" by 2 picoDumbs and the work by few Diyers, it looks like there is little chance to do it. The SIT Vgs I bought is too low, and Vgs of IXTN40P50P is too high. They may cross each other.
May have to find new way to do it. Either new P-Mosfet or cross their gates if Vgs(Mosfet)>Vgs(Sit).

from mid picture , I see that IXTN40P50P is almost -5V2, which gives you voltage window of ~800mV (-4V4 - (-5V2)), which is more than adequate
though, you can know for sure only measuring pucks you get in your hands
