Is this related? (Sound, math, ancient ancestors?

There are a great deal of sacred geo, numerology, etc groups that make bizarre claims about sound, freqs, healing, etc. it’s hard to get them to help explain the technical details of their info..

then the ‘polymath’ groups where 0.8660254 (cosine 30?) and 1.7320508(tan 30?) are associated with a 30/60/90 triangle and then hexagon with 864/1728 as B and C in pythago?

I guess sq rt of 3 is 1.7320508 and if the hypotenuse length is 1728 it’s kinda intersting.

if you draw a circle as a sine wave for a fundamental in 1/4 wave (90 degree chunks) then 270 of the 3/4 fits and then 810 of the 9/4 and so on (all related and all of Interest in offset driver TL speakers ??

whT happens to phase and unwrapped phase in each of those resonances in a TL?

its all 9,18,27 in digital root in the 1/4 harmonics ? (Ignore end correction and boundary…🙈

It’s weird how these numbers further up to the right corner start out and resemble radians (pi numbers) ?

432 x 3 x3x3x3x3. as 314928 ~pi or (432)^2 is the speed of light @ ~186624
peopke fibd this relevant and the size of the sun and moon and if you lo😆 k hard enough there’s an intersting arguement. But it’s all just ‘law of 5s’ or ‘power of 3’ ??

IOW, nonsense mostly ? Unless you use it to navigate through nunvers ‘close enough’ to what you were searching for?

Your first image claims that, in ancient times, 432 Hz was the frequency of the "sacred" note A, whereas today's standard concert pitch A of 440Hz is "artificial".

Have we forgotten the wisdom of our ancestors? Heck no! The Reuters Fact Check team has determined there is no documented evidence that ancient cultures tuned their music to A = 432Hz.

There's all sorts of nonsense out there about 432 Hz being "the beat of the universe", having "substantial healing benefits" and providing "positive energy".

It's all just a load of bunkum, as is the idea that 432 Hz is the frequency of the heart / brain / earth / sun / water.

Good read, including the comments! Thanks Galu👍🏼

I really want to discuss Fermat and Mersenne Primes and Butterworth Filters, but perhaps can get back to that later.

Transmission lines are easy enough too. Having fractional lengths in terms of wavelength. 1/8 wave, 1/4 wave 1/2 wave and so on. 😎

To address an earlier issue:

The factor 60, popularly employed in measures of time and angle and latitude and longitude (Strictly 360 degrees there, but whatever....) is a relic from Babylonian mathematics.

Around 3000 years ago:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexagesimal

The thing about 60 is it is easily divided into fractions, having 12 factors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, and 60.

Maybe that made Maths easy for young Babylonian mathematicians in laying out their famous hanging gardens efficiently or working out their finances?

I think it was a bit of a nightmare, but if all you had was wet clay tablets and wooden stylii, you had to work with what you had:

It gets worse:

Some preposterous theories suggest that the Babylonians were gifted this number system by benevolent visiting ALIENS keen to advance our puny and squabbling species into potential members of the GU, or Galactic Union.

I am quite certain we will have destroyed our own Planet and gone extinct long before then. Most people don't even understand the Exponential Curve that will certainly doom us. 🙁

The invention of numbers permitted us access to patterns in nature that we wouldn’t have been able to access otherwise.

For example, the realisation that the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter has a consistent ratio across all circles wouldn't have been possible wihout numbers.

Numbers allow us to find fascinating and useful patterns of nature that we would never be able to pick up on otherwise with any degree of precision.

However, these patterns in nature exist regardless of whether or not we invent numbers.

Theres a unique pattern in ‘3’ . I suppose acoustics of ducting (qw resonators) and electrical expose it the most Interstingly?

offset driv er at the 3/4 resonance (1/3 downstream Plus endcorrection/ boundary)
instead of @ the start or adding an other resonator (3:1) from the opposite side of the cone and then matching offsets

this stuff is amazing once you play with it. Where else does this exist??? I dunno, but I’m searching 😝

Theres a unique pattern in ‘3’

I'm not sure of this unique pattern of which you speak, but then I know little about the acoustics of ducting!

According to the Pythagorean school, the number three is the noblest of all digits as it is the only number to equal the sum of all the terms below it.

i.e.
, 3 equals 2 +1 (whereas 4 does not equal 3 + 2 + 1).

The Pythagoreans did revel in investing specific numbers with magical qualities!

The number three does seem to have a mystical quality and features in many folk tales, such as the Three Little Pigs, the Three Bears and the Three Billy Goats Gruff. 😎

I cannot argue with the fact that I make MUCH better 1/4 wave based speakers and subwoofers than otherwise because of the number 3 .
im sorry, but it’s true 🙈 I’m so ashamed ….

in fact it extends into driver position and vent in almost anything it seems?

someone sent me this

I can see why they wanted rid if it! 😉

Scots shepherds traditionally used a sheep-counting system based on the number 20 (a vigesimal counting system).

To count a large number of sheep, a shepherd would count to twenty, then drop a pebble into his pocket to represent each batch of 20 sheep.

The Scots shepherds (like the English and the Welsh) had their own names for the numbers 1 to 20. Here are the first ten names:

1 - Yan; 2 - Tyan; 3 - Tethera; 4 - Methera; 5 - Pimp; 6 - Sethera; 7 - Lethera; 8 - Hovera; 9 - Dovera; 10 - Dik.

Their name for the number 10 makes me smile, as does their name for the number 15, which is Bumfitt!

By now, after all that counting of sheep, you should be fast asleep! 😴
