That's much better than the first setup you found. I think for a smaller LCD that 250w setup would be fine, but if you plan to use a large (15" or bigger) LCD panel then you may want to locate a 400w kit instead.
is the 2nd electric? or what is it?
would this be better?:

but i would replace the bulb with a 6000k one.

all you need is a ballast and a bulb .. then thats fine ... but the bulb wont be all that great so yall have to go get another 400watt metal halid bulb with the right color temp, price, lifespan etc etc etc
can i get this:
Yes, but why spend all that money when all you'll be able to use is the ballast and igniter. The reflector isn't really suitable for a projector - it's entirely the wrong shape.
There are plenty of eBay vendors in the UK offering suitable control gear. I'm very happy with this:

id find a cheap core coil ballast then find a bulb and a socket..
i got my ballast for $28 plus $11 shipping

For the bigger 400W bulbs, you can find mirror finished stainless steel spherical salad bowls at most stores that sell home-wares. They usually come in 2 or 3 different sizes, so you should find one to fit your bulb good.
I got my 400W MH from ebay, i also ordered these https://secure.lumenlab.com/shop/group.php?id=8
do you think its worth gettin that Premium Membership from lumenlab?
Thanks

Yeah, that reflector is WAY better than a salad bowl. Unfortunately, it only works with the long, skinny 400W mh bulbs. You can't use it with the globe type mh bulbs. I don't remember seeing which bulb you actually used.
As to the premium membership at lumenlabs, I don't feel it is totally necessary. There is plenty of information out there that is freely available to help you with any design you can come up with. I also find it hard to give my money to the guys at lumenlab when there are people like Alan at www.diyprojectorcompany.com that go well out of their way to help you and don't ask for anything in return. I believe if lumenlabs unlocked their forums that they would probably sell more of their products. That concludes my rant for the day.🙂
