One thing i wonder: Siberia how is it connected to your source? Do you use usb for dac power?
It is powered and connected solely via USB.
Hi Siberia.
Thank you answering the question.
In my view this raise the potential issues you could face:
_ a software one ( the drivers)
_ an hardware one ( computer's usb bus).
I would first investigate this side before going further:
I don't remember if you can use an external psu at same time you use usb datastream. If possible then i would try this first* ( isolate potential usb's computer power issue).
If you have possibility to drive the dac through toslink it would isolate the software issue ( from computer's driver side).
If none made an improvement then i would then investigate further within the dac following Jean-Paul discovery and recommandation within his own thread.
* i would take Jean-Paul advice very seriously: if you have parts and knowledge on how to implement a 7905 i would strongly suggest you to do so.
If not then i would search for something similar to the link i gave previously for psu ( and verify there is no voltage peaks as it could damage the chips).
The Protective Earth ( PE) issue Jean-Paul rised could be a very real concern too.

An 7805 that is. 7905 is a negative regulator. Minimum standard, a better regulator can be used.
