I am about to build a plinth for my Technics SP-10 MK2.
I was originally just going to make it from layers of ply and nothing else, but I thought, what if I was to put a sheet of car sound deadening material in between one or more of the ply layers?
Would this work well to reduce vibrations?
This is the product here:

It may reduce vibrations. You may also hate the sound. Difficult to say. I've found that lead shot within the ply worked well for my DD plinth (two of the layers have multiple 50mm holes which contain the lead)
Unless you are prepared to experiment just follow a working recipe.
