Is there anything I should consider doing with this Xover?

The Mission 752 Freedom was well reviewed in Gramophone back in 1997: https://www.gramophone.co.uk/features/article/review-mission-752-freedom-loudspeaker

Quote: "These loudspeakers seek not to grab your attention with bravura displays of sparkle and punch but to woo you with elegance and sophistication. A most enjoyable experience."

That further justifies keeping the crossover components exactly as they are in order to maintain that 'easy on the ear' sound you obviously prefer.

Thank you Galu. I have not seen that article but they indeed seem a very nice listen and subjectively have more punch than either my previous Stirlings and the the KEF LS50 Wireless 2 (active) before that. Just really engaging. A lucky find for next to nothing money. If I can get them back to original glory both inside and out that would make me very happy.

Funny this, I wasn't exactly breaking my head over it but I was contemplating for a while which way to go for the rear chamber tweeter damping and what to get. I just realised it was staring me right in the face, on top of my speakers ... . That should do it, if done correctly.

Well, I've ordered some melamine foam so that will be the next step. I have a question regarding the rubber surrounds of the main driver. Is there anything that actually needs doing to prolong their life. They are permanently covered and not exposed to sun light and they look fine. Is there anything to be gained by using a 'rubber care' product?

Ok, last thing done on the tweeter. A friend with a suitably equipped workshop could have drilled the pole piece but I figured a/ it wouldn't make much difference and b/ there was a chance of destroying the magnet plus I very likely would have had to replace the ferrofluid again due to metal contamination. So I didn't bother. Anyway, thank you all for the kind suggestions. This little embarkment is probably child's play for you guys but I have two left hands which became obvious when I made a notable dent in the dome during the procedure. Being a soft dome it immediately disappeared. Had it been metal ... . I even managed to make a kind of dome shape of the melamine foam piece 🙂.
