I need to buy a sub amp with 600 watts RMS to run a JL 13tw5. There seem like a lot of bargains on Craigslist, but fear buying a piece of junk. Is there a basic test I can do to see if it works properly?

Right now I am looking at this:

Audiobahn 1800-Watt Class D Amplifier Model #: A18001DQ - $100

Bring some jumper cables, a subwoofer in a box, a 3ft piece of wire, and an IPOD (or any MP3 player) , and an input cable that goes from the IPOD to RCA's... And bench test it on the spot. Use your car battery. I would have the seller hook it up. Just in case its broke to begin with, and he says you burned it. This is what you will need though.
