I agree, given the low source impedance of the aikido output this should not cause any problem at all.

Not sure what sort of problem tinitus had with his speaker level x-o..

FWIW I do agree that limiting the quantity of switch contacts in the signal path is advisable. (Very high quality switches do help)

YMMV..
