I wanna build a guitar controller circuit for my acoustic guitar. I dont like the transistor based or FET-based preamp, So I choose a red circuits "Guitar Controller" from http://www.redcircuits.com/Page69.htm.
What are your views, likings, dislikings about the design?
Do you think that making the circuit on a vero board (aka stripboard) with all shielded wires will cause humming?
Is there any difference(s) between TL062 and TL072 except the power comsumption?

well,
That's a normal preamp..... As the preamp will pick signals from acoustic instrument pickup, will I need to add a separate bass roll off filter?

What are you actually trying to do? Just amplify the signal or also to add distortion?
My first aim to just amplify the signal to record the guitar sound in my PC via line in port.... but additionally, I also like to add a distoration cirucuit....
For a simple amplifier you can use either of those two amplifiers. For overdrive you shoud ude a tube.
